"We have started investigation against the Canadian national taking him into custody," Pushkar Karki, chief of the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police, said. The initial police investigation has shown that the 60-year-old Peter had been tempting kids by offering foreign trips and better education before sexually abusing them, another top police official said.

The police have rescued two kids of 12 and 14 years sexually abused by Dalglish.

Dalglish has been running an NGO called Himalayan Community Foundation in Nepal since 2015 in the name of working for poor and deprived communities.

Before coming to Nepal, Dalgish had worked for different UN agencies in different capacities, including the UN-Habitat country representative for Afghanistan.
